Each year, McStain contributes a portion of its profits to The McStain/Hoyt Foundation for Building a Better World. The employees of McStain created The McStain/Hoyt Foundation to honor the community giving principles of the founders: David Stainton, Jim Roser, Tom and Caroline Hoyt. The founder’s example of personal giving and their dedication to community service and environmental causes has been a model for us all.
The McStain/Hoyt Foundation gives funding to projects that benefit communities where McStain is currently building. The McStain/Hoyt Foundation’s annual grant program is open to qualified non-profit organizations that promote land or resource use that enhances the environment or that provide an educational program emphasizing land resource appreciation, environmental sustainability and stewardship. Project areas include, but are not limited to, parks, open space habitats, trails, and programs that encourage the increased use of mass or alternative transportation.
