At McStain, we’re constantly testing new, environmentally-friendly building products and practices. And the best way to test them is in a real home environment. That’s why we built the Discovery House in High Plains Village in Loveland. It’s actually the third such experimental home we’ve created over the years. And, while it may look like a traditional home on the outside, inside it’s filled with new ideas that could become our building standards in the future. Ideas such as construction techniques and heating technologies that make the home at least 70% more efficient than the typical new home. And a whole list of features that dramatically improve indoor air quality. In fact, the Discovery House received the highest energy rating ever given by Built Green® Colorado and is the first non-custom home in the state to qualify for the American Lung Association® Health House® certification. |
