Tom Hoyt

Tom Hoyt, Principal, MC3

Tom co-founded McStain in 1966 with his wife Caroline, David Stainton and James Roser as a small design-oriented custom builder. He has helped it grow into a diverse production builder and developer on the Colorado Front Range. The Hoyts, over their history with McStain, have pioneered planned unit development, new urbanism, green/sustainable building, and, more recently, urban development in a production environment.


Caroline Hoyt

Caroline Hoyt, Principal, MC3

Caroline has planned and designed more than 5,000 homes on Colorado’s Front Range. A director of First National Bank of Colorado, she was inducted into the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame and, with her husband Tom, was awarded the 2001 Professional Achievement Award by Professional Builder magazine for their efforts in advancing green building and development practices in the industry. Caroline was the second woman to receive an architecture degree from the University of Colorado.


Brent Anderson

Brent Anderson, Chief Executive Officer, IRG

Brent Anderson serves as Chief Executive Officer of International Risk Group, LLC, and is former President and Corporate Counsel for Cherokee Environmental Risk Management. With over 25 years of experience as an engineer, attorney and entrepreneur, Mr. Anderson has started and managed environmental consulting and remediation construction companies and has completed over $300 million worth of emergency response, remediation and reclamation projects. Mr. Anderson is published in numerous technical and legal journals and is an adjunct professor at Colorado School of Mines and the University of Denver. He received a J.D. from the University of Denver, an M.E. in Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a B.S. in Geology from Montana State University.


David Ware

David Ware, Chief Executive Officer, McStain Constructors

David is in charge of all aspects of the organization. His specialties encompass project visioning and platform development, budgeting, land entitlements, product development, integration of municipality codes and regulations, construction management and communications to all company employees to ensure the successful launch and completion of sustainable neighborhoods. David started with McStain as a construction superintendent. He was instrumental in establishing the company’s urban core projects such as Lowry and Stapleton and brings field knowledge and intuition into neighborhood development. David holds a B.S. in Engineering from Clemson University and has been with the company for 11 years.


Robert Edmonds

Robert Edmonds, Chief Financial Officer, McStain Constructors

Robert directs all aspects of finance, accounting, regulatory compliance and information technology. With McStain since 2000, Robert holds a B.S. and Masters in Accounting from the University of Denver. He has broad experience with a variety of organizations ranging from health care to international agricultural and economic development.


Patrick Murphy

Patrick Murphy, Director of Operations, McStain Constructors

Pat oversees all aspects of the production home building and land development operations as well as the sales, purchasing and estimating, and customer service functions for McStain. Pat has been the driving force behind the implementation of refined scheduling systems, level production techniques, the efficiencies associated with the forgoing and the development of the company’s leading customer service attitude. With McStain since 1987, Pat holds a B.S. in Agricultural Business from Colorado State University.


 

Chuck Lambert, Senior Construction Manager, McStain Constructors

Chuck has over 25 years experience in construction management – 15 of those with McStain and has been involved with every type of construction practice imaginable.  He’s managed and built condos, townhomes, single-family production homes, custom parade homes, remodels and commercial construction jobs.  He also consults with home-owners to customize designs, from the whole house to one room at a time.


Lyn Dyer

Lyn Dyer, Office Manager, McStain Constructors

Lyn has 33 years of experience in residential construction, 20 of those years with McStain. She helps manage the day-to-day operations for the company and provides human resource support. Lyn also helped implement the company’s new purchasing system, which provides a totally paperless transaction between the builder and the vendor.


 

Mike Stude, Purchasing Manager, McStain Constructors

As the most recent team member of McStain Neighborhoods, Mike Stude knows a thing or two about construction and purchasing. A graduate of the CSU Construction Management Program in the late 90’s, Mike has a multitude of experience.  He leads McStain’s purchasing and green building initiatives and plays an instrumental role in our overall success.
