Melinda is a natural creative who finds that inspiration abounds in all aspects of her life. That’s what makes her so perfect in her role at McStain, which involves a variety of jobs, including anything from coordinating team meetings to designing products and communities. There’s no typical day for Melinda, so she just stays open and ready like a true artist, which she is away from the office — contemplating nature with family and friends, and adding to the beauty in the world with art, music, poetry and dance. Melinda gives back by volunteering on the board of an artist/maker cooperative.
Robert spends his days bringing balance to the world of McStain. He claims it’s not abracadabra or alchemy, but he continues to do his magic by producing accurate profit numbers for each project and ensuring the bills are paid. Robert isn’t just a wizard at accounting and finance, his mastery extends to a black belt in martial arts, a serious passion for cycling and camping on mountain passes in the annual USA Pro Challenge, and with his recent golf score of under 100, maybe becoming a golf guru is in his future.
No mere android could generate customer delight the way David does. He’s actually all human, though his ability to execute McStain’s team plan, manage materials and preserve acceptable margins involve the type of cognition that one might contribute to futuristic AI. But David’s human side truly shows when he’s managing craftsmen throughout the building process, nurturing relationships with our team, customers and trade partners, and enjoying his life at home. You’ll even see David get excited when collaborating with others on solving complex problems.
David brings the vast talents of McStain Neighborhoods together to drive the company toward a long and prosperous future by staying true to its vision of affecting positive change. Construction is a family tradition for Lyn, dating back to her Grandfather supervising commercial building in Denver to her father and brother building condos on I-70. She has touched every aspect of construction, from sweeping houses for rough inspections to customer service to her present position managing the office and HR and coordinating closings at McStain. There may be rumors about a cloning lab at her house, but believe it or not, she’s just one person. Lyn loves her work, enjoys Colorado summers, and is a full-fledged Broncos and Avalanche fan.

For Mike, purchasing is all about relationships. After all, until the robots take over, transactions are between people. Mike doesn’t waste his time worrying about misinterpreted robot protocols about looking after humans. He focuses on the here and now, looking after people by striving to create strong partnerships, because when contractors and suppliers are successful, McStain is successful. Outside the office, Mike enjoys time with his family, the Colorado outdoors and fresh-squeezed orange juice.
When it comes to Mike, there’s a bit of irony that’s hard to miss. Mike is easy going and enjoys the laid back and fun culture we have at McStain, but he’s also a highly focused construction manager who brings nearly 20 years of experience to his work with trade partners and homebuyers. From drywall to closing, you’ll find Mike on the site getting things done, and you won’t miss the smile on his face when he’s helping customers personalize their homes. When not on site, Mike enjoys drag racing his 1970 Camaro and exploring the Colorado Mountains with his wife in their Polaris RZR.

With an undisclosed number of decades of experience in construction finance and a passion for green building, Brian is the man to have in our court.
