McStain was the first residential home builder to be a part of the Belmar master plan re-development. Located at the corner of Wadsworth and Alameda, Belmar is a vibrant urban setting that provides a multitude of dining, shopping and culture activities for you. McStain developed and built 132 urban Row Homes from 2004 to 2006. These Row Homes were designed by Braun and Yoshida architects and featured open and flowing floor plans with upper level roof top decks. They set the tone during the early stages of the redevelopment and have continued to be one of the premier residential options within the neighborhood.

Curtis Park – 31st & Arapahoe

Located in the heart of Historic Curtis Park in downtown Denver, McStain’s Curtis Park projects have captured the true essence of Victorian and Italianate-styled architecture in three separate phases. Designed by architect, Dan Mazotti, these single family detached homes did entice the senses of the community. These beautifully crafted homes have been recognized by the Mayor’s Design Team two years in a row; likewise, the MAME Awards presented by the Home Builders Association, also awarded our Curtis Park homes for best urban architecture in 2012 and 2013. McStain is proud to be a part of Curtis Park’s re-emergence and what downtown Denver lifestyle has to offer to everyone around.

Indian Peaks

Indian Peaks in Lafayette, Colorado embodies the true essence of sustainable, smart land planning. The master development plans that were approved in 1991 established the framework for what would become one of McStain’s best neighborhoods. Over the past two decades, McStain has built in excess of 1,000 homes, a Hale Irwin championship golf course, parks and open space, all with the idea of you, the homeowner, and the natural environment in mind. It’s a true gem, nestled just minutes from downtown Boulder. To this day, McStain continue the Indian Peaks legacy with our last neighborhood, Indian Peaks South. It’s not too late to own your home within this award winning neighborhood. Find your dream home today!

Indian Peaks South

Indian Peaks South was the last chapter in the award-winning, Indian Peaks master-planned community in Lafayette, CO. Its sense of place that connected people to the outdoors and with each other, captured the true sense of community. Thoughtful land planning incorporated over 300 home sites intertwined within miles of walking trails and pathways, numerous pocket parks and social gathering areas, natural drainage ways and environmental features, near the 18-hole Hale Irwin signature golf course that made it more than just a place to live. It became a place where neighbors engaged and grew and enjoyed a lifestyle that was not offered in many communities.

Lowry Redevelopment

It all started in 1998 when McStain was awarded a position in Denver’s Parade of Homes at Lowry. The Queen Anne Victorian style home was not the norm then and competed against a number of larger custom homes. In the end, McStain took home the award for Best of Show which launched a multi-year relationship with the Lowry Redevelopment Authority. Over this tenure, McStain developed over 270 single family and townhomes in Lowry’s Westerly Creek, Northwest Neighborhood and East Park neighborhoods; contributing to a dynamic sense of community, making Lowry one of Denver’s best neighborhoods.

McStain Collection

McStain has predominately been known for building in new, master planned neighborhoods like Lowry, Belmar and Stapleton, but we decided in 2006 to take a different approach with you in mind. The McStain Collection was a limited, unique offering. Focusing our passion for sustainable living, McStain developed a custom home series for some of Denver’s oldest neighborhoods. These homes would be considered in-fill for some, one offs for others, but at McStain we really wanted to focus our energy on building classic Colorado architecture that would last the test of time in this beautiful city.

Platt Park

The redevelopment of the Gates Rubber Company located at the southwest corner of Interstate 25 and Broadway in Denver was another mission aligned, urban rejuvenation project that tickled our fancy. Its location in the heart of Platt Park, proximity to the light-rail transit and relationship to the Pearl Street business district were just a few of the attributes that made McStain’s duplex project a vast success. For more than five years, McStain worked to design and build the “transitional” zone of the redevelopment. This zone was a very key element to the neighborhood which created new, single family duplexes between the planned higher density Gates programs and the existing single story brick bungalows predominate in the area. Over 40 duplexes line the streets along Logan, Grant, Sherman and Lincoln just south of Mississippi. Don’t drive by too fast or you would think these are just timeless Craftsman style single family homes. These homes were made with you in mind; take a stroll by and enjoy them.

Stanford Commons

Located in the southwest corridor of Denver, Stanford Commons created a unique opportunity for McStain Neighborhoods’ potential buyers. An authentic architectural style of paired homes was positioned within this mature neighborhood. Stanford Commons was among one of the few new home neighborhoods in this area that could accommodate any lifestyle home buyers brought with the Traditional 2-story design and two main-floor master plans that were offered. Conveniently located close to the foothills with outdoor amenities that included parks and trails, as well as easy access to numerous mountain destinations, it’s no wonder this community sold out quickly!

Stapleton Redevelopment

McStain was honorably selected to participate in one of the largest urban redevelopments of its kind in 2000 and nearly eight years later had built over 700 homes within 8 distinct product categories. It started with traditional, alley loaded single family homes and brick Tuck under row homes within the early filings. The success of these two product series led to a multitude of opportunities for both us and you as home buyers over the years. The Tuck under row homes morphed into Backyard row homes and eventually into one of McStain’s premier products – the Penthouse row homes. If that wasn’t enough, McStain developed a unique stacked flat program as well as a Spanish Mission housing type called the Casitas. The diversity and sustainability of Stapleton, combined with McStain’s passion for Building a Better World, set the tone for a successful partnership and a beautiful community for you.

Triple Crown Meadows

Triple Crown Meadows’ unique setting offered more than just a beautiful place to call home. The expansive home sites within this natural setting, along with the close proximity to outdoor activities and easy access to Boulder and surrounding areas made this community in Niwot the ideal place to live for home buyers. All of the eco-friendly homes included High Efficiency Solar Systems, Low-e and Noise Mitigating Vinyl Windows and sliding glass doors. Furthermore, from the trends of home buyers, these homes also included 13 seer air conditioning, active radon mitigation systems and full yard landscaping. The ultimate combination of your home and natural environment.
